This October 1st, 2024 marked the launch of Environmental School Visits! These are 25 students of 5th grade primary school from Paul-Bruchési primary school (Montreal, Qc) who traveled, with their teacher and accompanying parents, to the site of great interest which is Parc Frédéric-Back in Montreal.
During this morning, the TOHU guides, Anne and Nicolas, presented us with the history of this old quarry which was then transformed into a landfill site before the municipality took possession of it and rehabilitated it. one of the most important parks in Montreal.

The group then moved directly to the site to better understand the extent of the environmental work carried out, observe the configuration of the site as well as its flora and fauna. The students wondered a lot about these strange spherical installations found in the park.
A morning of discovery and rich interactions between students, guides, teachers and accompanying parents. Many subjects such as the history of Montreal, waste management, biodiversity, greenhouse gases and energy were covered..., all in connection with the 3rd cycle educational program.
Our thanks to the entire TOHU team for allowing and leading this visit. The students are already enthusiastic about the idea of an upcoming environmental visit covering a new theme.
